ประโยคส่วนใหญ่ล้วนแต่แบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วน

ประโยคจะประกอบด้วยส่วนใหญ่ 2 ส่วน คือ
1.  ภาคประธาน (Subject)
2.  ภาคแสดง (Predicate)

ประธานที่สมบูรณ์แบบเป็นคำที่บอกเราว่าประโยคนี้เป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับอะไร

ภาคแสดงที่สมบูรณ์รวมถึงทุกคำที่อธิบายถึงการกระทำหรือสถานการณ์ของ

เรื่อง

ภาคประธาน

ภาคประธานอาจมีได้หลายรูปแบบ เช่น

1.  เป็นคำนาม เช่น That man walked in the rain.

2.  เป็นคำสรรพนาม เช่น We were a policeman.

3.  เป็นอนุประโยค เช่น What she described frightened everybody.

4.  เป็น gerund เช่น Painting was her hobby.

5.  เป็น gerund phrase เช่น Working in the South is dangerous.

6.   เป็น infinitive เช่น To run is a good exercise.

7.  เป็น infinitive phrase เช่น To escape from the cave seems impossible for him.


ภาคแสดง
